You Never Know Who's Listening

The easiest place to eavesdrop a conversation is in a public restaurant.  The next time you consider taking your client out for lunch, think about what you say, how you say it and how loud you talk.

The Public Have Ears!!  You may be discussing matters that should not be heard by others.

We are all on trial by the public, our clients and our peers. How we blog, how we leave a message, how we  email, how we respond to others and especially how we talk on our phones ...can and will be used against us. We are in the public eye when we do any of these things.

Always answer the phone or leave a message as though it could be a reporter, your favorite client, the RE commission or the next buyer. The kind of message you leave, the tone of your voice and your actual words can and will be used against you.

Not just in real estate but life in general. The same with email...write as though it might be published in the local paper. When talking on the phone... others may be listening, you may be on speaker or even recorded. Think about who can hear you  on your cell phone whether in the office, the drug store or just near others.

We all know someone with a nanny cam in their home. Think about what you say when showing a property.

  You Never Know Who's Listening?

If you always talk on the phone, always write an email, always leave a message as though your words were being recorded or broadcast...you might think twice about what you say.
