I'm Breaking My Own Rule Today...
and You Can Thank Eric Clapton For That!
I know you might not believe this, but there really is a method to my madness.
You see, my dear readers, I have always thought of ActiveRain, in its simplest sense, as a social media forum. And it is because of this belief that I only post one blog a day.
If I post more than one blog in a day, the first post gets buried and I miss out on the comments between us, something I find essential to any successes I've had here in the Rain.
It took me a while to figure this out. But I typically post early in the morning, and many of the folks who frequent my blogs just aren't up at that time!
I've come to realize that you guys are Realtors and not farmers!
So, while it might be 7AM here in the Raleigh/ Cary/ Apex area, it's still the middle of the night for my west coast readers.
But today I'm breaking my one blog a day rule. And with good reason.
Today, one of my musical idols celebrates his birthday, and I would be remiss in my admiration if I didn't recognize him in some way.
I'm speaking of course about Eric Clapton, arguably one of the greatest Blues guitarists and songwriters ever.
Now many of you know Clapton's hits "Layla", "Tears in Heaven" and "Wonderful Tonight".
But his body of work is so vast, I thought I'd share with you one you might not have heard by EC.
So, without further ado, here is Eric Clapton and his band performing Bob Dylan's, "Knockin' On Heaven's Door."
